What are the Date dimensions?
This section outlines the date dimensions available in the expense model, enabling data analysis and filtering. Below are the key date dimensions:
Transaction Date: The date the transaction occurred, as shown on the receipt (e.g., when goods or services were purchased).
Posting Date: The date the transaction was officially recorded in the system (e.g., when a receipt was scanned or manually entered).
Submission Date: The date an expense report was submitted for approval or control, marking its entry into the workflow. Resubmissions after rejections are also recorded.
Report Approval Date: The date the entire report was approved, either by a supervisor or automated process.
Item Approval Date: The date specific line items within a report were approved, differing from the report approval date in cases of partial approvals or rejections.
Report Control Date: The date an expense report underwent control checks or audits, depending on the setup order relative to approval.
Item Control Date: The date individual items within a report were audited, differing from the report control date in cases of partial handling or rejections.
Report Settlement Date: The date the entire report was marked for settlement, initiating financial transactions.
Item Settlement Date: The date individual items within a report were settled and payment instructions were issued.
These dimensions help track and analyze the workflow stages of expenses at both report and item levels.
The dates listed above are just a selection of the most commonly used ones.
